Harnessing the ancient wisdom of asafetida and milk thistle, Asdamarin™ stands as a beacon of holistic wellness. Crafted by Vidya Herbs, Inc., this blend marries tradition and modern science, offering an impeccable solution for digestive health.

  • Symbiotic Fusion

Asdamarin™ is the meticulous blend of two revered extracts: asafetida's (Ferula assa-foetida) oleo-gum-resin and the seeds of milk thistle (Silybum marianum). Together, they craft a unique synergy to bolster digestive health.

  • Cutting-edge Extraction

Our asafetida benefits from supercritical extraction, preserving its essence. In contrast, milk thistle undergoes ethanolic extraction. Blended in a precise 1:3 ratio, the result is a potent powder, manufactured at Vidya's state-of-the-art facilities in Bangalore, India.

  • Clinically Validated Benefits

Rigorous research and clinical trials underscore Asdamarin's efficacy. Notably, it showcased significant improvement in gastrointestinal transit (GIT) and a marked decrease in the gastrointestinal symptom scale (GSRS). Participants also noted enhanced quality of life and reduced severity of indigestion.

  • Background Information

Asdamarin™M is a blend of two extracts: Ferula assa-foetida oleo-gum-resin and Silvbum marianum seed produced by Vidya Herbs, Inc. Ferula assa-foetida is also referred to simply as asafetida, while Silybum marianum is commonly known as milk thistle. Both asafetida and milk thistle have histories of traditional use for supporting digestive health.

The asafetida undergoes supercritical extraction while the milk thistle extract undergoes ethanolic extract, and then the two extracts are blended together in a 1:3 ratio resulting in the finished powder. The extraction and blending process occurs at Vidya's state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Bangalore, India.

Early research by Vidya Herbs examined the mechanisms by which Asdamarin works. The research suggested that Asdamarin significantly improved gastrointestinal transit (GIT), or the movement of food through the small intestine.' In a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial, 70 adults were administered either 250 mg of Asdamarin or a placebo twice daily after a meal for 7 days.? Results indicated that the Asdamarin group saw a significant (p < 0.05) decrease compared to the placebo in a measure that comprises a broad variety of digestive symptoms, the gastrointestinal symptom scale (GSRS), as well as more specifically, significant improvement on scores relating to the severity of indigestion and quality of life in those with indigestion as compared to the placebo (p < 0.05).
