β-Carotene is an organic, strongly colored red-orange pigment abundant in plants and fruits. It is a member of the carotenes.
Natural Betacarotene color range varies from bright yellow , over vivid orange to reddish brown in color, available in Micro encap-sulated Beadlets, DC grade powder, Cold water Dispersable ( CWD), Emulsion & Oil Suspension.
Lycopene (from the neo-Latin Lycopersicum, the tomato species) is a bright red carotenoid hydrocarbon found in tomatoes
Lutein is a xanthophyll and one of 600 known naturally occurring carotenoids. Lutein is found in high quantities in green leafy vegetables such as spinach, kale and yellow carrots. Lutein is present in plants as fatty-acid esters, with one or two fatty acids bound to the two hydroxyl-groups. For this reason, saponification (de-esterfication) of lutein esters to yield free lutein may yield lutein in any ratio from 1:1 to 1:2 molar ratio with the saponifying fatty acid.
Zeaxanthin is one of the most common carotenoid alcohols found in nature. it is the pigment that gives paprika (made from bell peppers), corn, saffron, wolfberries, and many other plants and microbes their characteristic color.
Carotene (beta-carotine) is a strongly colored red-orange pigment abundant in plants and fruits. It is a natural compound and chemically is classified as a hydrocarbon and specifically as a terpenoid (isoprenoid), reflecting its derivation from isoprene units.
Carotene is the substance in carrots, pumpkins and sweet potatoes that colors them orange and is the most common form of carotene in plants. When used as a food coloring, it has the E number E160a. The structure was deduced by Karrer et al. in 1930. In nature, carotene is a precursor (inactive form) to vitamin A via the action of beta-carotene 15,15′-monooxygen-ase. it is deeply colored, and as a hydrocarbon lacking functional groups, it is very lipophilic.
