A New Standard in Prostate Health Support

Dive deep into the world of Saw palmetto, a revered fruit native to the southeastern United States, cherished for its profound influence on prostate health. Vi-spo™, meticulously crafted from the berries of Serena repens (commonly known as Saw palmetto), stands apart in its potency and efficacy, promising unmatched support for men's wellness.
-
Mechanism of Action
Vi-spo™ is birthed from Saw palmetto berries imported directly from the fertile grounds of Florida. Undergoing a superior supercritical CO2 extraction with a special purification step, this method uniquely enriches the extract with fatty acids and elevates beta-sitosterol content up to tenfold when compared to conventional counterparts. Whether in its oil or spray-dried powder form, rest assured of the unparalleled quality emerging from Vidya's avant-garde facilities in Bangalore, India.
-
Meticulous Extraction
Recent studies by Vidya Herbs bring to light Vi-spo's prowess in promoting a harmonious inflammatory response. Notably, it contributes to a marked reduction in COX-2 and NF-kB in prostate tissue, highlighting its potential in maintaining prostate health.
-
Clinically Proven Efficacy
In a rigorous clinical trial engaging 91 men, those administered with 200 mg of Vi-Spo™M oil showcased remarkable improvements. Significant reductions in the International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS), residual urine volume, and other vital markers of prostate health were observed. Furthermore, a notable enhancement in maximum urinary flow rate (Qmax) was recorded. On the flip side, conventional extracts fell short, failing to deliver a significant impact compared to placebo.

Background Information
Vi-spo™ is an extract of Serena repens fruit produced by Vidya Herbs, Inc. Serena repens is also referred to as Saw palmetto. Native to the southeastern United States, the fruit has a long history of use for supporting prostate health.
Dried Serena repens (Saw palmetto) berries imported directly from Florida undergo a process known as supercritical CO2 extraction where high pressure is used with an added purification step in order to not only draw out a high fatty acid content, but also ensure a beta-sitosterol content that is up to 10 times higher than conventional supercritical saw palmetto extractions on the market. The resulting oil Vi-spo™ can also be spray dried to provide the material as a powder. The extraction process occurs at Vidya's state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Bangalore, India.
Early research by Vidya Herbs examined the mechanisms by which Vi-spo™ works. The trial revealed Vi-spo™ supports a balanced inflammatory response as evidenced by a reduction in both COX-2 and NF-kB in prostate tissue.
In a double-blind, randomized, placebo controlled clinical trial, 91 men were administered either 200 mg of Vi-Spo™ oil, 200 mg of a conventional supercritical extract or a placebo twice daily after a meal for 12 weeks. Results indicated that the Vi-spo™ group saw a significant decrease in the International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) (p < 0.05), residual urine volume (p < 0.05), and a marker of prostate health (p < 0.05) (where a reduction indicates a better score). The Vi-spo™ group also saw a significant increase in maximum urinary flow rate (Qmax). The conventional extract failed to achieve a statistically significant difference in comparison to the placebo group on these measures.
