In 2015, the company established its first R&D center in Bangalore, India led by its president and founder, Shyamprasad Kodimule. The center is recognized by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) (a part of the Ministry of Science and Technology). The center employs Ph.D.’s and postgraduates with backgrounds in pharmaceutical chemistry and nutritional sciences. The facility hosts a large collection of analytical equipment including LCMS, HPLC, UHPLC, and GCMS. The R&D Center helps to elucidate the mechanism of action (MOA) behind ingredients in development as well as their safety. These studies help to support the company’s regulatory efforts around the world.
In 2019, the company furthered strengthened its R&D capabilities by opening a second R&D center in France, with a focus on the application of the company’s ingredients in functional foods and beverages.
